Standard Series guitars were developed to provide the same key features that guitars are acclaimed for but with solidbody construction, own design pickups, and figured Maple top veneers to reduce costs and offer a line that delivers outstanding value as well as topflight performance. The solidbody has a distinctively different kind of sound and response than the chambered body and it isn’t better or worse: just different and a matter of personal preference.
Standard NX was developed to provide great majority of the premium features found on such models as the Original, Prog, and Fusion but with a solid American Basswood body, Flame Maple veneers and own specially designed pickups. The result is a lineup of guitars that provides all of the distinctive characteristics and key features that the Boden guitars are known for at a superb value for the working musician. All Standard models feature Quartersawn Maple necks and fretboards with the EndurNeck profile, Luminlay face and side dots, Jescar stainless steel frets and the innovative .strandberg* EGS Rev 7 hardware as on all of NX model guitars. The solidbody construction offers a different type of feel and sound than the chambered-body guitars but still delivers the trademark .strandberg* clarity, articulation, sustain, and warm organic tonal character that these guitars are known for.
The satin finish is popular for its ability to combine the properties of both a glossy and matte finish. This type of finish provides a soft sheen, less intense than gloss but more pronounced than matte. This creates a smooth to touch, lightly reflective surface which gives an elegant and sophisticated appearance. The satin finish is ideal for those looking for a balance between visual appeal and convenience, as it can hide small imperfections and fingerprints better than glossy surfaces.
American Linden is a light and soft wood that produces a well-balanced tone with a focus on the mid-range, soft bass and smooth highs. Its ability to reproduce detailed sound makes it popular with guitarists who prefer a precise response.
Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.
The maple fingerboard is valued for its smoothness and strength, while offering excellent playability and a clear, articulate sound. It is popular for its bright appearance and its ability to maintain accurate and detailed sound while playing.
The humbucker-single-coil-single-coil configuration means that the guitar is equipped with one humbucker pickup and two single-coil pickups. This combination offers a powerful and full tone from the bridge humbucker, along with bright and crisp sounds from the single-coil pickups, giving you a wide range of tonal possibilities, ideal for a variety of musical styles.
