Solid-state guitar combo amplifier with power output of 15 W that features the Peavey's exclusive TransTube technology with tube emulation circuitry that truly creates the sound, warmth and ''push back'' of a tube amplifier through its patented solid-state design. The basic building blocks of the TransTube sound are the exclusive designs of the preamp and power amp. The preamp section tailors gain to meet the need for any amount of drive, from crystal clear to thick, smooth sustain. The power amp reacts just like a tube output section by responding to the preamp with natural compression that increases as the amp gets louder. The combo is equipped with an 8” Blue Marvel speaker and provides two channels – Clean and Lead. They both feature a 3-band EQ and can be controlled by Volume, Pre/Post Gain and Post Gain controls. The combo also provides a headphone output for private practice and an aux-in for connection of a MP3 or CD player. It is a great combo for beginners and home practice.

I probably have an older model, and I must say that I am extremely satisfied. The problem I have is precisely when setting the volume with distortion, it is difficult to set a low volume, because it is noisy. The color is very nice, at least I can feel the simulation of the lamp, also the center. I play the nom with a Washburn X-50PROQ guitar, but it also sounds good on cheaper guitars.

My opinion on home use is different from the previous comments... The combo does not perform well for its performance.... the Modern/Vintage switch is usable, but it is not a very sufficient combo for my needs.... The equalizer is unusable for me, it is missing the Reverb... Maybe it would add to the quality... Anyway, it's my opinion, so just come to the store, try it and decide

I've had the combo for 3 years. It's suitable for home practice, the clean channel has a pretty good sound, the Modern/Vintage switch has also proven itself. The distorted sound is still listenable at lower volumes, but if you put the post gain more than 5, it starts to growl and screech. Otherwise, more suitable for less hard music, metal fans will probably be disappointed with it... but anyway - for beginners it's a really reasonable choice for the price :-)
