In addition, the new fm is now sensitive to dynamics thanks to MIDI, which in combination with its 6-voice polyphonic provides a much more expressive and detailed gaming experience than ever before.

Based on general requirements, Volca FM contains a fresh Reverb in addition to the Chorus effect. You can use and adjust each of these two effects separately to give the final shape to any FM sound you want to create.

In addition to MIDI IN, the new fm selector also includes MIDI OUT (IN / OUT 3.5 mm TRS), making it possible to use the voltu's intuitive internal sequencer to control other devices via MIDI, making it the perfect complement to your stand-alone set. Of course, it also works well with your chosen DAW thanks to sending notes, settings and timing via MIDI IN.

The internal sequencer offers a looping of up to 16 steps, allowing you to record your game on a touch keyboard. Up to 16 sequential patterns can be stored in the internal memory.

Volca FM also includes a motion sequence function that records in real time all the subtle nuances of your game and the movements of the knobs, allowing you to add time-varying changes to the sound. It's a great way to improve your loops, and it also allows you to create very original live performances.

The new generation Volca FM includes a random program generator that allows you to find new inspiration through happy coincidences and unexpected sounds.

Of course, it still includes highly acclaimed features such as warp active step, patter chain and an improved arpegiator, thanks to which you can easily create crazy loop rhythms and patterns.

In addition to the active step function, which allows you to skip steps during the sequence, Volca FM provides new functions that allow you to create more irregular rhythms. If the active step is less than 16 steps, you can use the warp active step function to compensate, so you take the same playing time as 16 steps; then you can intentionally distort the timing of the steps and create truly unconventional performances by synchronizing playback with another tool in the series.

In addition, the pattern chain function allows you to combine multiple sequence patterns into sequential playback, so you can combine up to 16 sequences to create a large process with 32, 64 or even 256 steps.

Volca fm makes FM sound editing accessible with extremely simple MODULATOR / CARRIER editing knobs - the movements of the knobs are mapped to several parameters for easy-to-understand sound changes. Enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the menu of complete parameter adjustments. The Volca FM comes with a list of parameters to help you with this.

The new Volca FM model is in line with the volca tradition and comes in a small portable version that you can take anywhere with you. It is perfectly practical, with a number of sound adjustment knobs on the fly, works on 6 AA batteries, has an integrated speaker, and weighs only 360 g (without batteries) and is ideal for stand-alone use. In addition, thanks to the SYNC IN-OUT and MIDI IN-OUT connections, it integrates seamlessly with your live gaming equipment, production studio, and of course any other device.
