Ibanez AZ2204N-PBM Prussian Blue Metallic Electric guitar

Rosewood fretboard provides a well-balanced solid tone with a focused mid range. Offering the best of both worlds, the digitized compound radius fretboard of the AZ-N is built to enhance both smooth chording and lead work in the upper register. Five tremolo springs allow string vibration to be more efficiently transferred to the guitar body. While the AZ series features a recessed bridge cavity for fluid and dynamic tremolo action, this model has non-recessed bridge cavity. The direct contact between bridge plate and the guitar body provides better resonance and helps facilitate subtle nuances in playing dynamics. Dyna-MIX 9 offers nine sound variations, and can easily switch between humbucker and single coil modes with just the mini switch. One mode is even able to simulate a humbucker sound from the combination of the 2 single coil pickups. Seymour Duncan® Fortuna™ Pickups feature a moderate output and natural clean voicing which accurately reflect subtle playing nuances. From treble to bass, the overall tonal balance is evenly adjusted and works well with various effect pedals. The T1702B tremolo bridge provides quick response and improved articulation. The 10.5mm string spacing allows for easy picking across strings and its snap-in construction makes it easy to load a tremolo arm. The tremolo block and saddles are made of brass, facilitating better overall resonance. S-TECH special roasted treatment increases the wood's stability, durability, water resistance and tolerance of temperature changes. The neck is sealed with an oil finish which helps make it feel similar to a well-played guitar neck. The AZ comes with GOTOH® MAGNUM LOCK® machine heads, which have an established reputation for tuning stability. Its H. A. P® (Height Adjustable Post). system allows for the adjustment of string posts for the appropriate tension of each string. The Luminlay side dot position marks make it easy for players to see fretboard position marks when performing on dark stages.

Body

Body: Alder

Alder is a medium-weight wood that produces a well-balanced tone with a strong mid-range, bright highs and moderate bass. It is known for its warm and full sound, making it a versatile material for a variety of musical styles.

Finish

Finish: Polished

The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.

Pickups Configuration

Pickups Configuration: HSS

The humbucker-single-coil-single-coil configuration means that the guitar is equipped with one humbucker pickup and two single-coil pickups. This combination offers a powerful and full tone from the bridge humbucker, along with bright and crisp sounds from the single-coil pickups, giving you a wide range of tonal possibilities, ideal for a variety of musical styles.

Тype

Тype: ST-Model

ST model is a general term for electric guitars similar in design and construction to the Fender Stratocaster. These guitars typically feature a triple single-coil pickup, a tremolo lever, and an iconic body shape. This type of guitar is popular in many musical genres for its versatility and pure tone.

Neck: Roasted Maple

Roasted maple is a wood that has undergone a heat treatment process to increase its hardness, stability and resistance to changes in humidity and temperature. This material provides a clear, well-balanced tone with a fast response time and excellent sustain. Roasted maple also has a darker, caramel tone that gives the guitar an attractive appearance.

Fretboard: Rosewood

Rosewood is a dark, dense wood that offers a warm, rich tone with excellent response and sustain. The rosewood fingerboard is valued for its smoothness and comfortable feel while offering durability and longevity. It is popular for its rich sound and classic aesthetic.

Very good guitar and sounds. The volume balance between pickups wasn't great at first (neck louder than humbucker) but it took 30 seconds to adjust the pickup height. Very slight fret buzz in some places when played unplugged so it may need truss rod adjustment or action tweaks but it still plays nicely and sounds fine amplified. The pickup selections with the alter switch (9 total) are really nice in most cases and give great options to adapt the style from clear single coil to thicker sounding in series. The only one I haven't figured out where to use yet is the middle (alter on) with all pickups running at once. That lacks treble and clarity for my style of music. Overall very nice guitar. Case is great too.
