The Vintera® II '70s Competition Mustang® features an alder body and a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard for classic Fender tone that's full of punch and clarity. The early-'70s "C"-shape neck is based on a classic '70s profile for an intuitive and inviting feel, while the 7.25" radius fingerboard with vintage-tall frets provide vintage comfort with ample room for big bends and expressive vibrato. Under the hood, the vintage-style '70s single-coil pickups deliver all the sweet and sparkling, warm and woody tone that made Fender famous. The vintage-style Mustang® "floating" tremolo lets you dive and wail with abandon, while "F"-stamped tuning machines provide classic looks and enhanced tuning stability to complete the package.
The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.
Alder is a medium-weight wood that produces a well-balanced tone with a strong mid-range, bright highs and moderate bass. It is known for its warm and full sound, making it a versatile material for a variety of musical styles.
Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.
Slab rosewood is a coarser and less worked type of rosewood that retains the natural texture and grain of the wood. It offers a warm, rich tone with excellent sustain and a smooth feel. The rosewood fingerboard offers a more rustic look and feel, while still providing great tone and durability.
The Mustang is an electric guitar made by Fender, introduced in 1964. It has a shorter string length (24 inches) and a simple but versatile design. It features two single-coil pickups and a unique tremolo system. Mustang is popular for its bright, distinctive tone and is often used in surf rock, punk and indie music.
Single-Coil Single-Coil configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two single-coil pickups. It offers a clear, crisp tone with pronounced highs and low output, making it ideal for clean sounds and styles such as blues, country and pop.
