ESP LTD GH-SV-200 Black Electric guitar

Few guitarists have had a bigger impact on the origins of thrash metal than Gary Holt. Joining his friend Kirk Hammett in Bay Area band Exodus in 1981, Gary has written and performed on every Exodus album ever made. When Slayer needed someone qualified to fill in for the iconic guitarist Jeff Hanneman for their final album and tours, Gary was the obvious choice. The LTD SV GH-200 allows more players to get the look of Gary’s LTD GH-SV at an even more affordable price tag. This guitar offers the same cool offset ESP SV body shape, black finish, and red multi-binding as its higher-end version. The GH SV-200 has a solid set of features including bolt-on construction at 24.75” scale with a mahogany body and three-piece mahogany neck, a roasted jatoba fingerboard with pearloid split block inlays and 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets. Its black hardware and components include a Floyd Rose 1000 double-locking tremolo, LTD tuners, and a set of direct-mount high-output ESP LH-301 pickups with red covers, offering excellent tonal clarity, well-rounded highs and lows, and superb articulation.

Fretboard

Fretboard: Roasted Jatoba

Roasted Jatoba is a heat-treated wood that increases its hardness, stability and durability. It offers a clear, articulate tone with excellent response. The roasted Jatoba fingerboard has a richer, darker tone and offers a smoother feel while improving resistance to changes in humidity and temperature. It's an attractive and durable choice for guitarists looking for a combination of sound quality and aesthetics.

Body

Body: Mahogany

Mahogany is a dense wood that produces a warm, full tone with rich bass and a strong mid-range. It is known for its excellent sustain and resonance, giving it a deep and round sound.

Neck: Mahogany

The guitar features a mahogany neck for excellent strength and stability. Mahogany is known for its great resonance, contributing to a warm, rich tone with a distinctive mid-range.

Pickups Configuration: HH

The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.

Finish: Polished

The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.

Тype: HardHeavy

The Hard/Heavy guitar is a solid electric guitar with high performance humbuckers, designed for playing hard rock and heavy metal. It has an aggressive, distorted sound and is designed for fast playing and strong sustain.
