Tube Logic replicates the sound of tube circuits and all their complex interactions at the component level. Our approach continues to evolve: we've refined the five amplifier types available in previous Katana models, including the iconic high-gain Brown type. The new Pushed character highlights the internal dynamic enhancements by amplifying the combo's clean sound with touch sensitivity. All six amp types include variation for 12 unique sounds. The Bloom switch engages a special circuit that brings a completely different character to the amplifier. The sound comes to life thanks to a sharper attack and rich dynamics of deep tones, which are two characteristics that are difficult to achieve at the same time.

As any tube amp devotee knows, the sound is richer, fuller and more responsive when the volume is turned up. Unfortunately, it is too loud for many situations. An external power attenuator is a common solution, but it can introduce artifacts that color the sound and character of the amplifier. The integrated Power Control feature in the Katana Gen 3 amp provides the best of both worlds and will inspire you with a kick-ass sound without unwanted effects. In addition to the main output for an external speaker, there is also an integrated 5-inch speaker for convenient practice and sound adjustments.

Katana Gen 3 offers five categories of simultaneous effects with core selections from BOSS's historic library. The Booster, Mod, FX, Delay and Reverb sections offer improved sound quality, easy parameter control and three variants each to access 15 unique effects. The BOSS Tone Studio application brings additional possibilities: you can use it to customize the integrated effects from 60 different types and fine-tune settings that are not available on the amplifier panel. With the optional Dual Bluetooth Audio MIDI Adapter installed, you can edit sounds wirelessly while playing with the BTS Editor app on your smartphone.

Katana Head Gen 3 has a number of powerful tools for modern guitarists. Eight Tone Setting memories allow you to store and recall complete amp and effects settings. The connectors on the rear panel support remote control using footswitches, expression pedals and MIDI devices. The GA-FC and GA-FC EX foot controllers expand your options and provide complete control solutions on stage. Switch Tone Setting memories, turn effects on and off, connect multiple expression pedals and much more. The GA-FC EX model also has the option of expanding to double the pedal switches or control two Katana amplifiers at the same time.
